Cherry Anise Glazed Pork Chops

From the depths of Lord Jamlin’s past emerged a mysterious figure who, with an air of intrigue, presented him with a dish that would forever tantalize his palate: Cherry Anise Glazed Pork Chops. 4 bone-in pork chops

1 cup cherry anise jam

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish, optional)



  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cherry anise jam, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil and sear the pork chops for about 2-3 minutes per side until they develop a golden brown crust.
  5. Pour the cherry anise glaze over the pork chops, reserving a small amount for serving. Spoon the glaze over the chops, coating them evenly.
  6. Transfer the skillet with the pork chops to the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes.
  8. Serve the Cherry Anise Glazed Pork Chops hot, drizzled with the reserved glaze and garnished with fresh parsley or basil, if desired.
